I had a great day today.  I went window shopping at the Christmas Village, snuggled on the couch with a kitty, ate really good Chinese food, and generally enjoyed getting out of the house for a bit.  But the unexpected highlight of the day was when I rode on the back of a motorcycle for about five circles of a very small parking lot today in the moonlight.

I never thought I would have the slightest interest whatsoever in anything like that, and I even climbed on the back just to humor my friend showing off his new toy.  I am shocked with how much I enjoyed those three minutes.  Even better, Chris didn’t freak out a bit when I finally let loose all the excitement I was trying to contain.  I had been a bit worried about his reaction, especially when I said that there was a chance I could do it again, on the real open road. Nope.  The most I got out of him was a very confusing, “Yeah, that’s not surprising.  I always knew you’d dig a motorcycle.  You’re the valedictorian who drives up on her Harley to give the address.”

I don’t really know what that means, exactly but now I’ve got a whole new fast motorized toy to fantasize about, and it’s much more accessible to me than getting my own airplane!
