I went to the rec center's yoga class four times and every time there were about 5 whole moves in an hour. Dude spent so long telling everybody what they were doing, and how they were doing it, and what it meant in Hindi and how it had evolved that there was really no workout to it. And I also dropped my membership when I started running. If you all go, and tell me it's good, I would totally join again to go with you.

I actually called around and was going to try to start a six week intro course at Heartwood Yoga today, but then decided I couldn't justify $75 for 6 classes.

Yeah, I'm thinking about the one that starts in August, though I'm also trying to prepare myself. I don't want to entirely be on the "couch" end of the spectrum. I'm well aware that physically, my learning curve starts a bit steeper sometimes.

Honestly, I may go back to doing Dashama's previous 30 day challenge, while doing this sun salutation. Or maybe try to do this sun salutation 3-4 times a day, while waiting on the next installment of videos. Right now, I'm not getting as much physical involvement as I expected, and when she does put out a video that's actually moving, it seems so advanced for me, even though her discussion videos are targeted to newbs. It's really just reinforcing that I need a tutor.

Have you checked the rec center out, Sarah? "A" is looking for workout buddies and suggested I join her there for yoga, but of course their yoga classes are before the daycare center is up and running. I'm sure she'd appreciate the company, and I may still try and work something out...

Wow, that new Sun Salutation is super tough. It will take a lot of work to get good at it, but I'll work to do it. I'm really glad that you started doing this!

I am very glad you linked this. I have wanted, for several months now, to find a yoga class comparable to the one they used to have at the downtown Y, which was awesome. And then they insisted it be "hot" yoga specifically, and I had to quit. I will check these videos out and hopefully get in on them with you. I need to get a new matt, though, because the cat yarked on my old one and it's got sorta baked in there and ew.

I am excited that you're going to try Couch to 10k! The one that starts in August? Chez and I have been talking about signing up to do that again, in a Running 102 capacity, because the group runs really are so much fun. I would love to see you there and have fun running with you!

Working it into the schedule does seem daunting at first. But if you let it, it will always get pushed back. There are always better things to do. And that's true of everything, all day, every day. So you just make it a really high priority and do it, regardless. And then you feel good and strong and tired-in-an-accomplished-positive way and that seems to make getting everything else done easier.
