Well soon enough being a Geek is going to be apart of everyone’s persona. Eventually we all want be able to live without technology, and we will all be on the same edge, so to make it a chic just will eventually be a waste.

I obviously have a lot of high school geek oppression ptsd still, because my first thought was, “Shit. Joiners.” But then there was Samm Levine and now I want to explore that further!

That's a pretty cool video. I love how people would '[grumble] about people who are capitalizing on geek chic.' What the hell is wrong with people? First, to ever insinuate that there is a 'geek chic' is a little off. Second, more fucking power to them. Let 'em capitalize away. If it increases acceptance of kids who grow up outside of the mainstream then I don't give a shit who's doing it or what they stand to gain in the process.
